# My first post using Grav

## May 01, 2020

After use for a long time *Wordpress* I am starting to use *Grav* to see how does it go. I think the experience is going to be interesting at least and here my documentation.

## My first post using Grav

I am using this pic to test how *Grav* deals with images. This drawing was made by [@cer098](https://twitter.com/cer098) circa 2015.

## The installation process

To start using *Grav* it took a while. You need to use a terminal and is kind of tricky, but at the end it worked out. I had errors because the `.htaccess` wasn't set up and I had to do it through *Vi*, using the terminal, something I don't like because I am not a regular *Vi* user, I don't understand how does it works very well.

Anyway, I fixed it and when I saw the GUI love it. *Grav* looks very clean and can work on it easily. Let's see how it is.

## Writing offline

I am writing on my *Zettlerkasten*. It means I am using [Zettlr](http://www.zettlr.com) to write my blog posts on my laptop and keep backups offline, in addition of what you can see in *Grav* in this site. I am following the [Documentatón](https://mutabit.com/repos.fossil/documentaton/doc/tip/intro-es.md.html) workflow, which includes a repository on *Fossil*.

Then I copy/paste what I wrote in *Zettlr* to the *Grav* GUI I update the files using FTP. Looks good!
