Carolina Cárdenas Núñez in Wikipedia

I am writing about this Colombian artist to give more visibility to a woman who in the 30s of the 20th century was very influential and is now in the public domain. Some notes about this experience.

There are several projects in which I am collaborating. One of them was Making visible the Colombian public domain in Wikidata. Also, the #EveryBookItsReader campaign, which Alejandra Quiroz and Martin Tena presented the campaign on the Youtube channel of the National Library of Mexico. At this intersection, I became interested in the biography of Carolina Cárdenas Núñez. In this blog post they explain how to participate in the campaign.

I dedicated myself to writing about this woman who was forgotten for 50 years. From her death in 1936 at the age of 33, until 1998 when the Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá held the exhibition “The Threshold of Modernity”.
